Pueblo Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program to Host Special Tax Preparation Event to File 2021 State Income Taxes

The Pueblo Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program, a financial empowerment program of United Way of Pueblo County, will host a special taxathon event on Saturday, August 20 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Lucero Library.

IRS-Certified volunteers will prepare and e-file simple 2021 state income taxes only for qualification for the Colorado Cashback tax rebate. 2021 state returns must be filed by October 17 to qualify. No appointments are necessary, individuals will be served on a first come, first served basis.

Taxpayers should bring all income information. In addition, all taxpayers must have a social security card for anyone being claimed on the return as well as photo identification for the primary taxpayer(s).
